Easy is a nutrition app that estimates the calories and macros in your meals, suggests swaps, and builds meal plans. This policy explains what the app collects, where it goes and how to get rid of it. It covers the Easy iOS app and this website.
The following is held locally on your phone and is not uploaded unless a section below says otherwise:
Deleting the app removes all of it. It is not backed up to us.
Easy creates an anonymous account for you the first time it needs one. It has no name, email or password attached and exists so that shared features work.
If you choose to sign in with Apple, Google or an email link, that identity is attached to the same account so your data follows you to a new device. We receive an account identifier and, if you allow it, your email address. We do not receive your password.
If you join or create a group, the following is stored on our servers (hosted by Supabase) so other members can see it:
Anything you post in a group is visible to the other members of that group. You can block other members and report content from within the app; reports are stored so we can act on them.
When you scan a meal, scan a menu or describe a meal out loud, that photo or audio is sent to our server, which forwards it to OpenAI to produce the estimate. It is used to answer that one request and return a result. We do not store the photo or the recording on our servers afterwards, and it is not used to train AI models.
Any photo you choose to keep with a logged meal is stored on your phone.
Messages you send to the in-app coach are sent to our server and forwarded to OpenAI, along with the profile details needed to make the answer relevant — for example your goal and recent meals. Conversations are stored on your device.
Subscriptions are sold and processed by Apple. We never see your card details. We use RevenueCat to check whether your subscription is active; it receives a purchase receipt and an anonymous identifier from Apple.
Reminders are scheduled on your phone by the app itself. Declining notifications does not limit any other feature.
That is the complete list. We do not share data with advertisers or data brokers, and we do not sell personal information.
Depending on where you live you may also have rights to access, correct or object to the processing of your personal data. Write to us and we will action it.
Easy is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
If this policy changes materially we will update the date above and, where the change is significant, tell you in the app.
